and I
were one
of Terry

Valorie
Zach’s
first
anniversary
couples
when
they
opened
for
business
a couple
of years
ago at
Niobrara.
Their
Amish
built
log home
with
five
guest
rooms,
all
centered
around a
deer
theme
was
found to
be
absolutely
beautiful.
That
time we
chose
the room
with the
Jacuzzi
tub to
make it
‘extra
special’.
This
time we
spent
our a
night of
our
special
week-end
at the
same
Lodge.
We
enjoyed
yet
another
room
with a
private
bath and
deck.
It was
fun to
see
three
deer ‘up
close
and
personal’.
Our
gourmet
candlelit
breakfast
was
shared
by
another
anniversary
couple
celebrating
51
years.
Books
abound
at this
lodge
dating
back to
very old
copies
of Nancy
Drew.
Wow, did
we get
goose
bumps
when the
other
couple
mentioned
after
breakfast,
wishing
they had
more
time to
read a
very
interesting
book in
their
room. A
book
we’d
left
last
time—After
the
Rain, Oh
the
Beautiful
Rainbow!
Of
course,
this
Lodge
just
isn’t
for
anniversaries.
It’s
ideal
for
family
reunions,
birthdays,
wedding
nights,
week-end
get-a-ways,
girlfriend
get-a-ways
or
scrapbooking
week-ends.
Hunters
also
enjoy
guided
deer
hunts
from
here.
It’s
truly an
Incredible
Gem
we’ll
return
to again
and
