"This historical little house was built in the late 1800's, the same time period I portray with the Orphan Train and Annie Oakley! The county records indicate that the property was purchased in 1892 from the land company for $400. Two years later the property sold for $1,500. The little house witnessed Crawford's boom times when soldiers and railroaders created demand for local goods and services including hotels restaurants, laundry facilities and a legendary red light district. These days the needs of the locals have tamed a bit. They are just looking for good coffee and a comfortable place to visit, find great arts and crafts, as well as take classes. They can find it at the Perennial Haus. They can also locate my fundraiser for American Mothers, Inc. thru the end of December, 2011 where everything on the table is merely $1. Proceeds go to help fund the art and essay contests for 5th graders and adults in Nebraska sponsored by American Mothers, Inc. The next time you are in Crawford, stop at 237 Linn Street for this wonderful treat. Be sure to look at Becky's inspirational chalkboard. She has made her dream come true!"
