"Getting
the word
out
about
Lyme
disease
was our
main
goal
behind
working
12+ hour
days for
10 days
leading
up to
the 4th
of July.
This
week as
I
returned
from MN
taking
Sarah to
another
Doctor's
appointment
I felt
good
when he
told her
she's
making
progress.
I also
felt
great
knowing
that in
Nebraska
we're
making
some
progress
educating
the
public
about
Lyme not
only
with our
monthly
meetings
in
Norfolk
but with
this
fireworks
stand.
As we
opened
the
stand,
Justin
and
Brandon
came by
several
times to
peek in
to see
what we
were
doing.
The
first
day they
were
back
ready to
not only
help but
anxious
to learn
about
Lyme.
Justin
studied
the
internet
at home
coming
back to
share
what
he'd
amazingly
learned
on the
subject
that was
new to
him.
Both
boy's
helped
us lots
and were
thrilled
with
their
fireworks
pay. I'm
proud
that
Justin
wants to
be a
state
patrolman.
I was a
junior
law
cadet. I
hope he
can
experience
that fun
"pre-patrolman"
program
sponsored
by the
American
Legion
when he
is a
junior
in high
school.
And
perhaps
even finds me
to tell
me all
about
it!
Brandon
wants to
be a
doctor.
I hope
he
decides
to stay
in
Nebraska,
specializes
in
chronic
Lyme so
that all
those
who
suffer
like
Sarah
will not
have to
travel hundreds
of miles
for cure
any
more. I
know
both
boys
will be
great at
their
chosen
careers.
Just
remember
-Happiness
comes
from the
heart!
It makes
my heart
happy to
realize
we were
there at
the
fireworks
stand
for the
mother
who had
a child
recently
bitten
by a
tick.
She
debated
whether
or not
taking
her to
the
doctor
was
wise. We
were
there
for a
reason." |
