Incredible
Gems - Alte Haus B&B
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
My family and I are fortunate to
visit a lot of places and to
meet a lot of people.
Incredible Gems are special
people and/or places we have had
the good fortune to meet or
visit. Incredible Gems are those
that really stand out. |

“I’ve
had the
wonderful
opportunity
to stay
at the
Alte
Haus
twice
now.
Both
times
were
absolutely
wonderful.
I have
met some
very
nice
friends
in
Syracuse.
I was
there to
pick up
a piece
of art
from Amy
Sadle
http://www.amysadle.com/
that
will be
on
display
in the
Orphan
Train portion
of the newly
expanded
Madison
Museum.
Greeting
me on
the
chalkboard
out-
|
side was my name. Waiting for me on my bed was a beautiful pink, long stemmed rose. The theme of this great Bed and Breakfast is the same as the talks I do for the Humanities Council—‘Stepping Back In Time.’
|
 |
It is
truly a
treat
each
time I
visit
this
cozy Bed
and
Breakfast.
From the
fresh
baked
cookies
in the
parlor
to the
fitting
framed
poem by
Robert
Louis
Stevenson
sitting
on the
nightstand: |

A Friend
So long as we love, we serve; so long
as we are loved
by others I would
almost say we are
indispensable;
and no man is useless
while he has a friend.

Breakfast was plentiful, taking into account my food allergies. It was very tasty! If you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful retreat. This is certainly your choice. An Incredible Gem just waiting for you with fun shopping and dining within walking distance. |
